Are Jehovah's Witnesses marriages even legit?
by Joliette ini ask this because of the circumstances behind why they get married and who they get married by.
i know people say that they are really in love, they love jehovah, etc, but are these marriages even legit.
i've talked to older jw's sister who are now widowed, some of them say that they were trapped in a marriages.

JW's do have it tough when it comes to marriage. Times change, the Borg and it's narrow-minded ways don't. Living together and being with someone 24/7 is the way to get to know someone. Dating someone for a few months getting to see someone for a few hours at a time then marrying is taking a huge leap of faith. -

No more printing of WT and Awake in my country.. Shit just got real
by cognitivedizzy inguys .
a letter was just read in out kh stating that all printing of wt and awake is ceased for the coming year and we will just place tracts on fs, countries which were cared by our branch will be cared by other countries...along with this they read the new fs form and stuff about reporting links of videos wtf..lol.
i can't tell which country perhaps that will give away a lot, any one with a similar information.

Just a few weeks ago it was announced after the Sunday WT that the Awake and Watchtower were going to be cut down to bimonthly editions.
Should what's happening in India come to be all over the Earth, and when it's announced at the meetings worldwide, I wonder how the rank and file will absorb it. Surely the hard core ones will just quietly absorb it. I'm 100% sure of that.

Raining before the Flood?
by GrownMidget ini remember at my teen years when i was studying with a brother that he said to me that there was no rain before the flood.
instead there was this mist that you have.
never before or after this have i heard something like this.

Also, what comes to mind, if it never rained before ''the flood'', then how would the rivers & lakes water supplies be replenished? The mountains need rain/snow to provide runoff for rivers and lakes. Also vast prairie lands need rain for rivers and such.
If it never rained before the flood, then how would wild animals, horses and fish survive if there was no water provided to replenish lakes and rivers as all the water would have been stored in the skies??

I don't know how many here have been to Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada. Even when you're way up above the falls on the lawns toward the roads a few individual hairs on your head do stand on end!!
What this means is that when enormous amounts of water fall from a height it creates energy. Imagine covering every land mass of the entire planet in a short period of time, all that water would probably flash to steam.
Critical thinking guys!!! That's all it takes sometimes.

One more thing I forgot to mention about water in vapour form vs. water in liquid form. If you were to take 1 gallon of water in liquid form, the same amount of water in vapour form is 1600X greater in volume than the same amount of water when it's in liquid form.
For an entire Planet to be totally covered by water in what was a canopy???? All that water covering an entire planet would have to be 1600X larger in size by volume as a canopy.
All it takes is critical thinking sometimes.

Why are projects being shut down? Nu-light speculation....
by DATA-DOG ini went to the meeting last night.
to keep the peace for now, i guess.
anyway...... during the bible highlights, a newly appointed ms explained why construction is being curtailed in some areas.

I'm starting to think it could be possible ''tax'' situation on the horizon. In early 1990, the Borg had to implement the ''donation'' basis for their literature because publishers asked for the monetary amount to cover the cost of printing. The Borg then failed to take it's stance as a non for profit organization. They had to implement the ''donation'' system to retain it's tax free operation.
Maybe now someone's looking into this massive retail company which is developing land left an right and doesn't pay tax??????
Like I mentioned sometime before, a charity can retain a ''tax exempt'' status. But it's a whole different thing for a multi-billion dollar estate company to develop land and buildings. I could be grasping at straws, but perhaps some legal entity is looking into the WT's tax free status. Perhaps a moratorium is imposed because of this until this is all sorted out. Who knows??

Over-protective parent?
by GrownMidget ini was something like 20-21 and there was this young sister, maybe 16 who i happened to like back in the day ... uh oh ...we met in the summer convention because i made the first move while she was playing board games with her friend.
we kept in touch via skype and text messages because lived kinda far from each other.
eventually her mother heard of the stuff and said to her daughter that the chatting must stop.... well, when two people have a little crush on one another, it sure doesn't.

it's sadly to say but it is this kind of upbringing is what hinders young adults social development and communications skills amongst other adults in the real/dating world. Revolting!! -

The canopy over the Earth. But that would have been such an astronomical amount of water up there in the sky. Imagine the entire planet veiled by a canopy and to have all that water envelop the entire Earth. And water vapour form takes up waaaaayyyyy more space than water liquid form. -

I just can't imagine the disappointed the ''non-digitalized'' people feel. Most of the elderly don't even know how to go through the prompts when you go through a 1-800 number and the more senior amongst the rank and file are not even computer literate. Yet the Borg is pushing, pushing, e-reports now and tablets.
